How to use it
Type your text
Up to 1,200 characters, line breaks allowed. Shorter text produces a visibly sparser grid that scans from further away and at smaller print sizes.

Thai text costs about three times as much space
A QR code stores bytes, not characters. A Latin letter is one byte; a Thai character is three under UTF-8. So 300 Thai characters weigh about the same as 900 English ones. That is why a Thai QR code always looks denser than an English one of the same apparent length.
Frequently asked questions
Does scanning need an internet connection?
No. The text is in the code itself and points nowhere, so the camera app displays it immediately. That makes it a good fit for factory floors, lifts, and anywhere signal is unreliable.
Will non-Latin characters come back garbled?
Current iPhone and Android camera apps decode UTF-8 correctly. Some warehouse barcode scanners are configured for ASCII only and will mangle non-Latin text — if handheld scanners are part of your workflow, test on that exact model before printing.
How much text can I fit?
We cap it at 1,200 characters. That is not the format's limit, it is the practical one: beyond it the grid gets too fine for a phone to read at ordinary print sizes. For longer content, use a URL code pointing at a page instead.
